MAKING SUGGESTIONS (Önerilerde Bulunmak):
1- LET’S
*Cümlede kullanıldığı eylemle beraber “hadi” anlamı verir.
Example: Let’s go to cinema.
*Diğer öneri kalıplarından farkı soru cümlesi olmamasıdır.
* Let’s li cümlelerde özne kullanılmaz. Gizli özne olarak biz (we) öznesi zaten anlamda bulunur.
*Sadece düz cümle kurmak için kullanılır. Asla soru cümlesi içinde yer almaz.
Example: Let’s make a cake for your birthday party .
Olumlu cevap verirken:
Yes, Let’s. veya Yes, that’s a good idea.
Olumsuz cevaplarda ise:
No,Let’s not veya No, that’ s not a good idea kullanılabilir.
2- SHALL WE?
*Cümlede kullanıldığı eylemle birlikte “yapalım mı?” anlamına gelir.
Example: Shall we play football?
“Shall we?’” yi “Let’s” den ayıran özellik bir soru cümlesi olmasıdır. Ama ikiside de yüklem yalın halde kullanılır. Başkaları için bir şey yapmak istediğimizde ise Shall I ? yapısını kullanırız.
Example: Shall I make you a cup of coffee?
3- WHY DON’T / DOESN’T?
*Cümlede kullanıldığı eyleme “Neden yapmıyor(sun)?” anlamı katar.
Example: A: I feel very ill today.
B: Why don’t you go to a doctor?
*Shall we gibi soru cümlesidir ve eylem yalın halde kullanılır.
4- HOW ABOUT? / WHAT ABOUT?
*”……………..ya ne dersin?” anlamında kullanılır.
Example: A: I am really bored.
B: How about / What about going to cinema?
*Shall we, why don’t gibi soru cümlesidir ama ikisinden farkı eyleme –ing takısının gelmesidir.
